This series contains news releases created at Ent Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and maintained by the Office of Information of the Aerospace Defense Command (ADC) and its predecessor. The news releases cover the entire Headquarters of the ADC. Included is a press release from the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD), issued in conjunction with the Office of Information, ADC. One of the news releases concerns a visit to military facilties throughout the Pikes Peak area around Colorado Springs from former Air Force Chief of Staff, General Curtis E. LeMay. Another news release details the visit to Petersen Field, Colorado, by President Richard M. Nixon. A news release, from July 1972, refers to an appearance in Colorado Springs by the United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron known as the "Thunderbirds."

Curtis Emerson LeMay (November 15, 1906 – October 1, 1990) was an American Air Force general who implemented an effective but controversial strategic bombing campaign in the Pacific theater of World War II. He later served as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. LeMay joined the U.S. Army Air Corps, the precursor to the U.S. Air Force, in 1929 while studying civil engineering at Ohio State University.
